Hello everyone. Here’s another chapter of second summon. For those who don’t read any of the other novels I’m translating here, merry belated christmas! I’ve been noticing that japanese authors oftentimes go both past tense and present tense, often past tense for actions, summaries and such and present tense for thoughts, speech and/or explanations. Sometimes it makes for a difficult translation if I go with the usual single tense storywriting english people use, maybe I should try keeping the tenses like it is on the raw and see if it reads well. What do you guys think?
Anyways, enjoy your read~

Hello fellow readers! Here’s Chapter 19 of Kanna. Right on time for christmas, though this is more or less me releasing it on the scheduled day. Either way, it’s my little present to you all. Enjoy the read and Merry Christmas!

Hello everyone! And here is another chapter of Second summon, translated by yours truly. Sometimes I wonder if I’m not spending a bit too much time on a hobby like this. It’s still fun though so I’m not really complaining.
Enjoy your read~

Hello everyone! How was your week today? Snow finally fell a few days ago, but it’s already gone now. So bye bye two days of winter?
Maybe some of you have already noticed, but I do all I can to replace honorifics to fitting titles in english. I think that in itself is also something worth trying since it will make you want to try to look for proper titles and such, not to mention fun and satisfying when it flows well. Though then again, I would spend extra time for every new honorific I’m not sure about in english. I can’t replace some of the -kun and -chan honorifics though. Then again, I could always remove them since no english person would call their classmates with anything besides first name(or family name in some cases).
Either way, enjoy the chapter and see you next week or in the comments!
Edit: Oops, forgot the proper tags.

Hi everyone! Here it is, a chapter of Kanna that’s finally on time! I can do it if I put my mind on it. And time, too. Time I want more of. Lots more.
Either way, here’s the chapter for you to enjoy.
P.S. The title(なんだかんだ先生) is apparently a joke and reference to a game according to the author. Can anyone figure it out? Not sure how it’s translated to english though. If you do know, let me know so I can change. That is, if you can find out the game in the first place…Hint: It’s a fighting game. I found it, but can’t be bothered to go through google to find it nor buy all those games to find it.

Hello readers! Here’s your next chapter for this. I’ll periodically keep author’s note if it’s anything meaningful. Sometimes it’s funny to read it and sometimes the author would give spoilers herself. But hey, if she’s going to give spoilers, why shouldn’t I? By the way, if there’s an asterisk, then it means I have put a note at the bottom of the chapter. Please check it if it interests you.
Without further ado, enjoy the chapter!

Hello everyone! It’s been just a day, but I’m already here for some more goodies. It’s not a chapter of Kanna the Godless though and it’s not a chapter of Blessings from the goddess, but from an entirely different novel which is “A Second Time for an Otherworld Summoning”(Isekai shoukan wa nidome desu). I’ve already gotten the OK from the previous translator Drakuro through mail to release this fun web novel a week ago, so that’s that. I will shorten the title to STOS so you know it’s this novel when I release a post.
“*Gasp* But Jun, you can’t even handle your own deadlines on Kanna the Godless, why are you translating a new novel!?” Is what you guys may be saying, but I’ve got some news for you. I’ve already translated this chapter half a year ago! Awesome huh? This was one of my earliest translation work I’ve done up until now and it was done both to polish my translation quality to what it is today and to help a fellow translator in releasing chapters faster(though that didn’t quite happen like I thought it would).
So far I’ve translated up until chapter 34, so I can release this once every week after checking my own translations. Reading it makes me realize how much I’ve improved over this half year. This chapter may still have some translation errors, so I hope you forgive me for that since I wanted to make a start as soon as I can. I hope you will enjoy reading this novel under my wing like you did under Drakuro’s. I will be making an index page for this one at a later time, so please be patient. So without further ado, enjoy this chapter!

Good day everyone! Here’s another chapter of Kanna the Godless! I’m kind of disappointed the plot isn’t progressing as fast as I would want, not to mention the fact he somehow keeps adding commentaries about breasts and whatnot is kind of…well, I guess it’s interesting enough. Enjoy the read everyone and see you in… less than two weeks!

Welcome to a new release of Kanna the godless! I know, I know. It’s almost three weeks ago since I released a chapter, almost a week too late. But nevertheless, I finished it to you readers’s pleasure. You know there are games that are fun and interesting and there are games that you just can’t let go without even thinking about it every minute? Usually I think about translating, but the game got me into it a bit too much, even though it’s not that interesting. Either way, the hook is starting to get looser and looser now and I should be able release chapters in a timely fashion again.
Also, I’ve decided to rename Spirit magic to Spirit art. A little change, but it gives a bigger distinction between two different magic systems we’ve come across until now.

Hello everyone! Here’s another chapter of Kanna the Godless. I’ve been struggling in deciding whether or not I should change some terms in this novel to make the differences more clear. I’ve been using several terms that the previous translator used like spirit magic, but now there’s spirit magic and magic, which are two entirely different magic systems from what I read. Strictly speaking, the spirit magic here is literally translated as spirit art/spirit technique(精霊術) and magic is literally translated as magic art/magic technique(魔術), though it’s mostly translated as just magic, but also sorcery. Shall I just change spirit magic to spirit art to make a bigger distinction between the two magic systems? Then again, I also use sorcerer to describe someone who use magic to fight. Please voice your thoughts in the comment section and enjoy the read.
